KYGO: Live in Jakarta

Few months of waiting -- it was totally worth the wait. For sure.

Kygo, the famous Norwegian DJ held his Kids in Love; Asia, Australia and New Zealand Tour. First off, his tour was set place in Auckland, NZL on the 17th October 2018. Jakarta, Indonesia was his seventh stop after Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne, Bangkok, Manila and Seoul. The official announcement was released by himself on July 18th through his instagram post. Kygo live in Jakarta tickets were sold later on the 25th with price range around IDR 600.000 - IDR 1.250.000.

This was the first time Kygo held a concert in Jakarta, Indonesia. Tickets were rapidly sold out mid-October 2018 for both GA and VIP category. Shortly after, the organizer, Euphorics Events had decided to release additional tickets due to high demands. Like any other concert, official sponsor, Kredivo held a meet and greet contest. Contest winners got the chance to meet and greet, not only with Kygo but also with Justin Jesso, guest star for the concert and well-known singer from Kygo's EP -- Stargazing.

Kids in Love Tour Jakarta was held on November 2nd 2018 at Hall C3 Jakarta International Expo, Kemayoran. Gates were opened at 7.30PM sharp and there was no time difference for entrance time between GA and VIP or VVIP audience. The stage, bars and most of token top up centers were placed indoor while the food plaza was on the outdoor. This event was strictly 18+ to prevent selling cigarettes and alcoholic beverages to minors. Price range for food, cigarettes and alcoholic beverages were around IDR 30.000 - IDR 1.650.000.

The opening act started at 7.45PM, performed by local DJ called Ivan Guih for around 35 minutes. Next in line was guest star, Justin Jesso who performed his original single My Body as his opening song. He sung several covers for the rest of his act and closed his single act by performing a song that he wrote for the girl that he's going to marry which awed the crowd.

The GA and VIP / VVIP area were getting crowded as the night goes on. Frank Walker, another DJ set performed his act. During his performance, the crowd went wild and danced along with his music. He also played his recent remix, a song called Happier originally sung by Marshmello, Bastille and himself. His remixes made the crowd easily got lost track of time and told the crowd that they were going to see Kygo perform in a few minutes.

Lights were switched off, the stage was dark and the crowd screamed louder. Kygo showed up on top of his DJ set table as his song, Born to be Yours was being played. The crowed welcomed their idol by showing their excitement, singing the song as loud as they can. Kygo greeted the crowd by saying "Hello Jakarta" and "Aku cinta kalian" which made the crowd screamed even louder. Not only he performed songs from his Kids in Love album but also from Cloud Nine and several remixes including Avicii's song Without You to tribute the late-talented DJ, Stargazing featuring Justin Jesso, his song with Selena Gomez It Ain't Me, his new single Happy Now featuring special guest star Sandro Cazzova and last but not least a song that makes huge leap for his career, Firestone.
